It is pretty, isn't it? I have only one bloom on it. It developed a bunch of buds, but this is the only one that turned into a bloom. It was a mystery.

Aim to die broke. Give to your beneficiaries before you die; it's more fun and useful to them. Spend it all. Your last check should go to the funeral home ...

... and it should bounce.

Spreading the joy when one is still alive to witness it and share in it makes a lot of sense.

So, ok, random. But I had a rehearsal for a Good Friday service in a church in Fitchburg MA today. When I walked in, I couldn't believe my eyes.. a whole church full of Louis Comfort Tiffany windows…the real thing! Just beautiful! I'll share them here… I am an aficionado of his work…

Great job Zoia! I have dozens of photos of stained glass and maybe only one or two that I would show to anyone.

Beautiful !

It was an unexpected gift to be in there right at sunset as the western windows were lit up.

Beautiful, Zoia! 😍
Thanks for sharing! 😇

There was just a lawsuit in MA over stained glass windows. A church is/was being sold but some of the windows were considered "sacred" so the Catholic Diocese (I think?!) wanted them removed/not included in the sale. I believe it was a federal case and the judge ordered the parties involved to "work it out". Imagine if all lawsuits went that way?! Hilarious!

And the wind was insane today!
Someone I know was pulled over on the highway this afternoon for crossing over into the other lane. She kindly let the officer know "yeah, bud, it's windy!" Hilarious! Luckily he let her go. 😎

Newyorkrita said: I did cook my corned beef today and just ate. I have lots leftover. It was okay but I think a little tough. Maybe I will cook it some more for next meal.

Was it point or flat cut, Rita? I've learned over the years that although the point cut is fattier it's a lot easier to chew. I used to think I was a "flat cut" person but have since been convinced otherwise. I do have an extra corned beef in the freezer and that one is a flat cut. Cooked 2 point cuts the other day and they were perfect. Hopefully your leftovers were more enjoyable! 😊

I wholeheartedly agree...but not with stiffing the funeral home. Sad They are doing "God's work" and are often some of the most compassionate and helpful people you will ever come across especially in your loved ones' time of need (and if they're not...go somewhere else!).
I personally would rather have my arrangements made and paid for ahead of time. Some of my family members did this and it was such a relief for them as well as everyone else.
Green burials are also becoming more popular these days. A lot more affordable and I think the "organic" aspect is becoming more appealing. 💚

I do understand the point you're trying to make, Charley. Bearing witness to generosity, especially your own, is always good for the soul. Group hug

Thank you Linda. Smiling

Summerbee, your absolutely right about the wind, brutal. Even GG doesn't want to go out. I think by today at least the wind is suppose to die down.
