Beautiful! I'd guess Prairifire crabapple--a common deep pink to red-flowering cultivar that has been around for many years. Spelled without the "e" in "prairie" but usually misspelled in commerce. A few pictures from the database:
Thanks for that info, Laurie. It's a gorgeous tree that I love seeing every spring when I'm there for the lilacs in bloom and it fortunately blooms at the same time. But it always makes me wish I had room for one here.
