Planter Mix

Salvias, Potato Vines, Coleus, Fuchsia, Million Bells, Petunias, Alyssum and a reddish Heuchera, from my backyard planters.

A lovely mix!

It's 6 planters in front of the bird bath next to where I sit and read all summer. But by mid-July, it looks like one huge continuous planting, you don't see the pots at all. I have to keep trimming them down starting in July or they completely hide the bird bath. And all the planters have a mix in them, I rarely put 1 plant to a pot unless it's something I'm experimenting with.

This is the photo I took the banner from, 2 weeks after they were first planted.


This shows some of the planters on the day they were planted, June 2nd, and how they're placed in front of the bird bath.


This is June 27th.


July 13th:


And August 13th, I've cut the tall plants back several times by now, but not any of the salvias because the hummers love them.
