Yes, I did, I ordered several times from High Country Roses and Heirloom. Each time it was 100% professional, and the roses were shipped on the agreed-upon day, arriving in excellent condition.

I've ordered almost all my roses from both of them and was very pleased with the plants. Great businesses.

I'm on the same boat. I placed an order late August. I received a partial order in mid September. I asked Chamblee's to send the other half of my order by the following week. That was more than a month ago. I finally asked for a refund, and I'm yet to see my money back. I will call my bank and report this on Monday. As far as my experience goes, this business is not only unprofessional but also unethical.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. There are a few members who had the same experience and are very angry at these people.
Welcome to the forum, Crystalchild.

I'm sorry to hear about your Chamblee woes! I'm also surprised that you received any roses AT ALL, when I ordered 5 roses back in May, I didn't receive a single one, nor any form of refund from Chamblees. I ended up getting reimbursed by my bank's fraud protection program after a long drawn out process that involved submitting a description of the event, a copy of the order, a timeline of my outreach/communications with Chamblees, transcript of the Yelp and BBB reviews, copy of my BBB claim, etc. Whew! Thinking back on it I spent HOURS on this debacle. I was determined to not only get my money back, but spread the word. I started a thread in HMF, (helpmefind.com/roses), as well as this forum. Hopefully it has prevented others from going down the Chamblees path (not to mention the One Love Rose and Gardens path, the sister company with similar practices). Regarding your situation, I would keep a log of all your communications with Chamblees, and get your financial institution involved. Again, I'm sorry this happened to you, rose people are some of the most honorable folks out there, so it's unfortunate that we are being victimized by the Chamblees crooks. Best of luck, and let us know how you make out...

That is certainly no way to do business. PRL ordered in May and received nothing and Crystalchild ordered in August and received some of their order. You would think the people who ordered earlier would receive attention first. Confused

Tigerpaws, you would also think that ANYONE who ordered and paid for a product with an agreed-upon delivery date would receive the entire order in a timely manner, which is how the reputable rose nurseries do it. Those folks (Heirloom, High Country, etc) have their system down to a T, and most importantly they are honest businesses with integrity and genuine customer service.

Also, these people at Chamblee's have had ample time to resolve all these problems...that is if they really wish to do so. I do wish the attorney general in Texas would do something, however, I believe if people would contact their own att. general in their state he or she may get in touch with the one in Texas and insist something be done with this business.

Agree, Patricia, the attorney general outreach is a good idea. Also agree that Chamblees have had ample time to correct. And the only thing they seem to be doing is writing nebulous "contact us and we'll put it right" messages, whereas the only true remedy would be immediate refunds to all concerned. Apparently, that is not happening.

Unfortunately the Texas Attorney General's office may not be as functional as it should be. He was involved in an impeachment trial with the legislature this summer and still has some legal trial pending. I am not sure how many good staff is left or if there is a lot of turnover.

Well no wonder he hasn't done anything about this. Still, it is his job to look into fraudulent businesses.

I am thinking of filing a complaint with FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center. Please see the "other cyber crime" section, which includes non-delivery of merchandise purchased online.

Since I cannot post the link to the site, please search "FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center."

"FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center" looks like an excellent site which will surely be able to assist all the victims of Chamblee's shoddy business practices. It is good to know there are avenues people can take when they have been defrauded.

After double-checking that I have not received a refund over a week, I filed a complaint with FBI. It was a tedious process, but I'm hoping this may help some other shoppers. Although I obviously cannot attest to the validity of other people's complaints, I gave FBI links to this site and a couple of others so they may possibly look into them as well.

I'll contact my credit card company tomorrow. I'll keep you updated.

ParisRoseLady said: Tigerpaws, the only possible way Chamblee's could attempt to "make things right" with their defrauded customers would be an immediate refund to everyone concerned. Instead, they want to engage by email with people, presumably to embroil them in the drama of their supposedly victimized nursery (tornado hardships, customer service hardships, etc), which would presumably be followed by more empty promises for delivery of the roses people had ordered way back when. If the whole situation weren't so tragic, it would be comical. But, it's NOT comical, it's shocking and disgusting, and the actions they have perpetrated on unsuspecting customers this season is criminal. They do not deserve to be in business, period. Plus, there must be actual criminal penalties for what happened, businesses need to be sanctioned for unlawful practices.

Totally agree and I have done everything you advised! I never receive my March 2022 orders from One Love and am very frustrated after numerous attempts to get my roses or refunds without success.

Then I saw someone mentioned on FB groups that you can dispute the charges with credit card companies for preorders within a period from the pushback delivery date not the original payment date. Finally, I had my money back from my credit card company 19 months after the payments made and 45 days after opening the cases.

It's a nightmare dealing with this business and don't want anyone to go through this again. I have also learned not to trust any so call "influencer(s)" on preordering roses over the purchase protection period unless they are reputable businesses.

There are many great rose nurseries to order from. They will give satisfaction and if not, they will either refund the money spent or let you choose a new plant. If you are wondering about a nursery before ordering, just ask in here. We have people who have been growing roses for many years and they know all the good businesses. It's a shame Chamblee has ruined what used to be a great business.

Thank you! I have ordered from other mail order nurseries without any issue so never thought of scamming can happen in the rose industry. Chamblee's/One Love claims chargeback hurts their business but actually they are the one hurting ALL small businesses by taking away people's trust toward the industry especially the preorder practice. Sighing!

While what you say has some truth, I hope the great businesses don't get harmed by Chamblee's illegal behavior. It's certainly not fair. It never occurred to me, either, that any rose nursery would act so badly. I've only ever ordered off 4 of the nurseries and have had zero problems with them.
