Great ground cover . Vinca is one the easiest plants in my garden and behaves well
Drought and heat tolerant.
Beautiful picture showing all the pretty lil blue flowers . 🤩

That's a beautiful looking vinca. It is a family favorite our pink vinca reseeds every year. I have given away so many vincas to neighbors and friends.

Beautiful banner and this color is not common here yet.

Thanks, Bea, for the compliment and the promo for my smugmug site. Photography has played a huge role in furthering my love of nature. It's a rare day when I take my camera with me and fail to see something new, something I find myself studying more about once I get back home and can see my photos enlarged on my monitor.

@GigiPlumeria wrote "this color is not common here yet", and mentioned her pink vinca. Oddly, the blue/purple color of vinca in the banner is, by a large margin, the most common color locally, and pink vinca is the exception. In fact, it has only been in recent years that I even became aware there were different colors of vinca. There's probably a reason for the different local preferences in color, but I don't have a clue what it is. Go figure! Confused

I do agree with all the comments about the virtues of this plant as a reliable ground cover. I used to grow it around the base of a Norway maple, where grass refused to grow, what with the tree's deep shade, and it's water-hogging shallow roots.

Oh wow! Here Pink Vinca is everywhere And they are the most resilient. I had purchased different colors and they are pretty for one season and they don't come back. My friend who is a GM of a restaurant chain was so impressed of my pink vinca being dry tolerant that she had asked me for seedlings and they are doing great on her store.

I have not seen blue or purple here. I've had maroon, peach and white but they all died and did not re-seed.

This is really eye-opening, @GigiPlumeria. It must be that different varieties of vinca are hardy in different climate zones. Up here the blue kind is unstoppable, and most definitely perennial.
