There's just one that returns here, and it's in the most unlikely spot; a fairly dark corner that rarely gets weeded.

I think that these are monocarpic and they die after flowering.
They sometimes then reseed.

I buy one every year because they have such a great color , but they never come back.
There is a very pale blue one also but it is harder to find. (also never comes back)
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.

Just a hint if you buy it from a box store they sell them as perennials so keep your receipt and get another one the next year. I think of it like getting half price
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.
