making a note that Donnerville tree-mailed me to say she'd take 50 of the Tete Deluxe daffodils.

Terri, that puts both of us at 200. I'm guessing we could sell off 100 at the swap (in bags of 25) if you want to try knocking it down to 150.

I'm really excited about growing this double form of Tete a Tete. I've read several descriptions that include words like "weather-resistant" and "strong stems," so I'm fairly confident it won't flop like some of the big doubles ('Acropolis' comes to mind).

So I just found pics of that one and I'll take some of the Tete Deluxe if there are extras. Speaking of lils - any of your places carry the Daffodil Bridal Crown? I swore those were the little bulbs Gita shared with me...such sweet lil things with such a strong fragrance.
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

I got Bridal Crown from ADR a few years back, will check to see if they have it. I am sure mine can be shared, but I'm not certain where they are other than general vicinity, so that would have to wait until they bloom next year.

ADR has them but only in a bulk tray of 400 for $168 (50 for $21). I'd take 50... Anybody else? They are a smaller bloom, "bunch flowering" so multiple blooms per stem, not unlike 'Cheerfulness'. ADR does have 'Yellow Cheerfulness', box of 75 for $34.50. They are fragrant, but taller than Bridal Crown or Tete Deluxe.

VE has 'Bridal Crown'! 100 bulbs for $58. I'll probably order amaryllises from them, too. They charge 10% for shipping with a minimum of (I think) $8.

Jill, @5601Lisa wrote "I'm in for ADR's tulip mix called Tulipa Green "Spring Green," 100 bulbs for $46.00".

This is in addition to the Tulip 'Spring Green' that I am ordering. I did not see a "green" mix in the Tulip Mixes category, so I'm wondering if she meant just Tulip 'Spring Green' like I am ordering.

Thank you! I figured she meant 'Spring Green' and put us down for 2 boxes of 100. the double green tulip 'Super Parrot' comes in a box of 125, and I think Lisa is taking 25 of those, maybe just 20.

@critterologist - only IF you're ordering from VE - I'll take the #100 of Bridal Crown (if anyone wants to buy any of that #100 - I'll be the Daffodil pimp) - ditto to the Yellow Cheefulness (again, happy to sell some of the #75)...course this means that I won't need #30 of the double Tete a Tete...although wouldn't mind a small amt. And if there's enough to spare....I'd still like some of the Foxtrot.

Chantell, how about if I put you down for 50 Yellow Cheerfulness and 25 Tete Deluxe and 75 Bridal Crown (I can take 25 YC and 25 BC if nobody else wants them). That gives you twice as many shorter daffs as taller ones IF they bloom together (or even if they don't).

If for some reason I don't do the VE order, you can get more of the Tete Deluxe in place of Bridal Crown. You know us -- we always manage to work it out!

Chantell, take a look at the other bunch-flowering daffodils... they're all fragrant, as far as I know. 'Cheerfulness' (the white one) is only available in a big tray, but the others are available in smaller boxes

CHantell, if you're sticking with 'Yellow Cheerfulness', there's also an option to get "7 retail bags of 8 bulbs" (56 bulbs) instead of 75. The price increases by 2 cents a bulb. There's a similar option for the other bunch-flowering daffs at ADR (but not for Bridal Crown or Cheerfulness, only available in big trays).

Sorry for the delay in finalizing this.

@aspenhill @5601Lisa Tulip 'Spring Green' comes 2 ways. 100 bulbs (as 10 bags of 10) for $46 or 125 bulbs (bulk box) for $56. The bulk box is 2 cents per bulb cheaper, which really is not much of a difference, $2 on 100 bulbs.

Lisa specifically said 100 bulbs for $46, but Terri didn't specify. Terri, I'll get you the box of 100 bulbs (to go with your 100 Super Parot from the box of 125 you're sharing with Lisa) unless I hear otherwise by, say, 2 pm.

My apologies for not noticing the box of 125 earlier.

Anybody want "in" on some purple alliums? I'm looking at 'Purple Rain' (I've grown A. chistophii before but not this variety, said to have an improved deeper color) and/or 'Purple Sensation'. Both are tall with large blooms (not 10" like Globemaster, more like 6"), Purple Rain has a looser form (reminds me of fireworks).

I just can't bring myself to pay $3-5 per bulb for the "giant" alliums when I can get these at 5 for $3 or 10 for $4.50.

Do you want 50 Purple Rain, 50 Purple Sensation, or both? 50 of both (100) is $45.50. As with all of these, we quite likely could sell off any extras we have at the fall swap. So many people ask for them in fall, I sometimes wonder if I should just order a few extra boxes, but then again I don't want to be stuck with planting them!
