It's got to be over 60 years old at this point. The house was built in '54 and the tree put in not much afterwards.

The first one is from last week from the front porch, all the flowers aren't quite opened yet. But then we had snow a few days after this.

And these two from last year from the front bedroom windows.

Excellent banner.....I wouldn't have guessed magnolia.
Spectacular tree....I didn't realize they could be deciduous,
or grow in the snow.
Do you have any pics showing the pistil, anthers, etc?

I'm guessing the flowers always tilt towards the west, where they get more light, so I had a hard time finding anything showing the inside, but here's one. I'm sure the tree is sterile (thank god, I can't imagine also cleaning up seeds from it!).

My neighbor across the street has a different type of white magnolia, their tree is about 1/3 of the size of mine.

Does anyone know what the tree in the lower right corner of the 2nd photo with white flowers is by chance? It's only about 12' tall now, but I saw a huge old one recently that had such a perfectly beautiful shape to it, it made me wonder what it was.

Oh wow, they really are digging into that flower! In my zone when they bloom, it's normally still in the 50s and low 30s at night, snow is even possible in late April and has happened the last 3 years in a row when the tree is blooming. So there aren't any bees around when the magnolias bloom here, it's too cold for them. Or if there are any, they stay well hidden, I've never seen any on the tree at all. We had a week in the 80s recently, but then back down to the normals of 50s in the day and 30s at night.
