Green and white delight

The faux petals, or bracts, of dogwood blossoms, seen from below. Almost certainly either the species type or a cultivar of Cornus florida, the native North American dogwood.

I love dogwoods anyway, but I love the way the light is hitting the flowers from the opposite side, gives them an ethereal look. Beautiful, Elizabeth!

I wish all of you could see the hills of Kentucky when the Dogwoods are in bloom. Talk about majestic! It's like a fairy sprinkled the hillsides with snow through a lacy tablecloth, and sometimes you still had the Redbud trees still in bloom at the same time for a real display of color. Wow! Lovey dubby

I wish I could see the sight @slowcala described. Where I live, 'wild' dogwoods are seen only occasionally as understory trees in wooded areas. When I am lucky enough to see them there, in bloom, they evoke images of clouds floating through the forest.
