Color progression

Most trees experience a gradual transformation from summer green into fall colors. This ornamental pear tree is an example.

Thanks everybody!

The source image is here. The trees didn't have tags to identify the cultivar.

A colorful and shiny banner! Ornamental pears have such pretty fall foliage and also pretty white blooms in spring (though they don't smell nice), but the big drawback is their invasiveness---at least cultivars of Callery pear. There is another species of pear, Ussurian (Manchurian) pear, that might not be invasive, but I don't know much about it or how to tell the difference between the two.
