I don't know the variety, but the size of it just amazed me. This was taken at Chicago Botanic Garden.

This composition has 'old world charm'. Strong, bold in color and and aristocratic. Beautiful!

Those small, intensely colored mystery blooms and the shiny, deep green foliage are a perfect foil for the the large dahlia, with its subtle blend of hues. Really beautiful. I'm glad you answered the call to photograph it, and rose to the challenge of turning the photo into a banner.
