Now accepting bee business

This bloom is ready for visits from bees and butterflies, barely.
A few disc florets of the dahlia Bubblegum just now open in a nest of swirling petals, aka ray florets.

The way the banner frames the swirls of the petals is just beautiful. Amazing colour too. Now I can't wait for my dahlia to bloom…
I o lay have a couple, I don't seem to as successful with dahlia than some other types of flower.

They are spectacular blooms...it's an "event" to see them in full display.
Well rotted & composted manure seems to be a key factor.

I had a neighbor many years ago that grew award-winning dahlias.
He impressed on me the importance of the "black gold", i.e. manure.
It's only been this year that I took his advice, and the results are amazing. Blinking
