Beach Time for the fawns

Doe mama stayed up on the grass.

There has been a complete shortage of pollinators this year. A handful of bees, butterflies and moths. I have pots and pots of other flowers to attract the good bugs and still- so few insects other than the earwigs.

Love seeing everyone's insects and bunnies and deer though. Living my wildlife moments vicariously through you all 👍😁

I've seen some nice butterflies this summer, and their caterpillars have definitely been enjoying the milkweed.

Dave, your doe reminds me of Mom's who sun on the beach while the youngins play in the water.










Blue Darter, dragon flies have to be the hardest bug for me to photograph. Can't seem to ever get them in focus. I wonder if this phenomenon with digital cameras is some unknown defense.

So, a bit of different pic than I usually post for critters in the gardens...


This is the little rascal who has been running around 'inside' the fenced gardens, getting into mischief. He went for a ride today, then was released into a very large meadow with sheltering trees, lots of grass, a small stream nearby ... and no close roads or traffic. (And no nearby houses, so I have not passed my 'little problem' to someone else.)

He should be very happy, as there are others of his kind nearby as well.

The tree frogs were especially loud the other night. This is the result of their raucous party ...

Speaking of green tree frogs, we have one that seems to live on our front porch and enjoys ringing our Ring Door Bell about four in the morning. I check to see who is at the front door and see a frog silhouette slowly crawling over the camera lens.

My husband was interested in getting security cameras for our home. So, I thought I'd surprise him by getting ring last Christmas. He made me return it and opted for something else. I will let him know that he made the right call!
We have so many tree frogs the thing would probably be going off all through the night!

I don't know what the third one is, but I found one just like it on one of my DLs this week. It was an empty shell, though.
