Now I'm really laughing. The text guesser on my tablet replaced "Zinnias" with "Zombies", if you can believe it, and I pressed 'Finished' before I realized it. I really did type
"Zinnias never fail...." Honest!

I'm typing this edited comment at my PC, which obviously isn't as much of a smart@$$ as my tablet...

So wonderfully colorful! I've never grown zombies (or zinnias) for some reason, someday I really need to. They make a lovely banner!

What a great lineup of a hard working flower. Zinnias hold up and always make a show of gratitude to the gardener with their blossoms.

I just love the cheerful lineup! Yes, I too should grow zinnias, it's just the usual, how to protect them from marauding bunny rabbits question. My neighbor surrounds hers with chicken wire. I really don't want to go there…

This picture was taken in a small town in Nebraska on a plot of land filled with zinnias. I talked with the owners---they plant them every year, and they said it is a popular spot for wedding photos, graduation photos, etc.

Pretty banner of the most colourful 'zombies' I've ever seen!

Laurie, that banner is fabulous! Zinnia's are close to my heart and I grow them every year. I have to start the seeds in high containers so the bunnies can't eat them before they get big enough to transplant, and then I stake around them with twigs and sticks that are very close together. It is worth all the extra trouble to me for they are a flower that keeps putting out blooms until frost.

This year I found Giant Cactus Zinnia seeds! I sowed a pack yesterday and can't wait to see them in bloom.
