Hi Kim: reach out to your county and see what aquifer you may be feeding on for your well. They generally have an idea and can help you with that information. I'd say possibly land management or even ask your extension office who you may talk with. Both should be able to get you to the right department and the right answers. Also, if your on a well are you on a septic and when was the last time you were pumped? - ST

Great information Scarlet! Thanks 😃 Yes, we are on septic as well. We were told it was pumped when we moved in which is 2 years in Sept.

Side note on septic: If you have a larger family or do lots of laundry and baths or use cushier non septics safe tp, you may need to do more often. I know my moms county has them pump every so many years and send proof(I'm city at my house so I don't know if it's a state thing or not). It's worth checking on before your pit is full and can't handle. My sister moved to a new-to-her house and had the septic man come out. Her neighbors didn't realize if you have a septic you need to be pumped out. She said two weeks after her appointment she said she saw the septic man out to 5-10 neighbors.
