I've always loved the early spring ephemerals that naturalize out of their starting beds and spread through the lawn. Though it is still wintry here, and forecast to remain so for awhile, your banner helps me dream of a not too distant time when such blooms re-awake here...

Elizabeth, I am also dreaming of that time! Soon! I started planting little bulbs here 30 years ago, I try to keep adding more and they have all spread considerably…it's quite a show! I always look forward to Glory of the Snow, Scilla, Grape Hyacinth and all the lovely wee small ones that gladden the heart right when you need them most.
