Maybe Dave is selecting her photos from the database. She hasn't posted anything to the forums or treemail.

Go to her profile images at https://garden.org/plants/brow... and look at the date of submissions for her most recently submtted photos. Yes, they were taken last year, but not submitted until this week. I have often submitted photos taken in prior years. There is nothing unusual in that. I suspect she's okay.

Lovely SSDBs, Valarie. Your hybridizing? While we have a few TBs, my late husband & I have always focused on the smaller classes. His grandmother had the SDBs in her garden, which was where John learned about them.

I really admire Valerie, because as she has pointed out to me they have been in war since 2014 very near to her place, with members of her family on both sides: the ugly wounds of civil war that now has spilled over all over Ukraine. Yet she still has the will to grow irises, photograph them , share them here and also in FB and at more normal times sell off increases internally in Ukraine. Living at the other end of the world,yet I still I find myself drawn to the fathomless suffering of every one there. I 🙏 that this ends asap. It is always easy to let the demons of war, hatred, cruelty and desolation wander. The real question lies when these have done with their evil, how much destruction has to repaired both physically and psychologically. It will last for decades... Yet still there is a Valerie growing irises...
