Oh our local stores are now carrying hyacinth. I used to have a few of them planted in the ground but they didn't come back.

Like tulips and daffodils, the bulbs need a chilling period. My clumps have been coming back bigger every year.

That's probably why they are sold as annuals here. Also peonies and rhododendron don't do well here.
