It does seem happy as is, nice looking leaf. I looked it up and says it can take temps 40-95F, and can get white flowers. Nice. Thumbs up

Sure thing, we are booked there in mid Oct. I visit a couple nurseries when there, could meet up at them. We are @ Gamble Rogers in late April early May, if a bad weather day I might venture to St. Augustine and visit the nurseries.

Sounds good. Have you ever been to Hammock Gardens nursery in Palm Coast? We always seem to fly by and it looks interesting but by the time I see it we are past.

"Strawberry Begonia" (Saxifraga stolonifera) really does do better outside.

I love that one, it is an oldie but a goodie. I have not had it or even seen it at a nursery in ages.

Looks like the Strawberry begonia gets a nice flower stalk on it. Thumbs up

Alice I have been to Hammock Gardens many times, certainly stop in and check it out, I know one of my garden turtle statues came from there. I have found some uncommon plants there, nice people.

I grow strawberry begonia outside here too. I tried the variegated variety they were selling around here for the last couple of years, but it didn't take as well. Plus they sold them in those little 2" pots so those don't always have worth-while roots to begin with.

My begonia I bought over a year ago is really looking good, even getting some blooms, I did find the tag and it is Rex Begonia Red Kiss. It was all red when I bought it, now has a blend of colors.

What a stunner!

'Frosty' started looking suicidal by the time it went back outside, lost about half of the stems but is back to looking vigorous now.

'Benigo' in a barrel. (In a much smaller pot sitting in the barrel).

Nice, nice, nice, well grown Tiffany.

Frosty and Don Miller are almost identical. Actually Steve's Leaves says they are the same. I thought one of them (can't remember which) had redder stems.

My B. Hornet had not really changed much over the months since I have had it. We were expecting rain over the weekend so I moved it out where it could get drenched and in more light and when I looked at it this morning the leaves were almost twice the size they were last week. Whoa, I have neve had a plant change so drastically.

Thank you (x2)!

Love that last!

What's chewing on the leaves in the bottom R corner? What are those leaves? Cordyline?

Yes, that is a piece of Ti. I have a mystery critter that targets the cordylines, not the ones in the ground, only those in pots.

Hmm... I didn't recognize the pattern of chewing, but there are probably critters in your area that aren't in mine.

I suspect it might be an army worm but really don't know. I don't fuss too much about these cuttings in pots, they are easy to clean up when I want to do something with them.
