I rescued Lylah in May. I had been without a dog for 2 years, thought I'd not get another one as I age after I had to put Cheyenne down, I worry about leaving a dog that needs to be rehomed. I just couldn't resist her. She's turned out to be such a great dog, well trained, and so loving. Maybe too loving, as she doesn't want to share me with anyone. We're working on that, and she's learning that others can come into the house on occasion and not be a threat to me or her. She loves kids though, and women, she's cautious around men. I can't help but believe she was abused by them. She sure loves me though and the feeling is mutual. She's a Catahoula Leopard dog. She was brought up here from Alabama, and it's been fun to see her learn about snow. She doesn't like it at all, in fact she doesn't like cold weather either. She makes fast work of her potty breaks in the winter. She's really smart, loves to go for car rides. She knows she will get a treat when I go through the drive through to do banking. In fact if I drive by the bank with her, she whimpers and wants me to go there. I'm so glad I got her. She was 5 years old when I got her.
