Hey guys,

Newb herb grower here...
After my success with cilantro I moved on to mint, which I recently started growing from seed.
I just went to water them and I was a little lazy and instead of my usual bottom watering, I poured from the top and the water came out faster than I intended and the tiny leaves got submerged.
After it drained, the leaves were full of soil.
I tried to very gently clean off as much soil as I could, but it looks like there's still some there.
Is this going to cause any issues? (like light not being able to get to the leaf surface or rotting or something?)

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

As long as you have adequate light and heat, your mint should find its way upward worth no further assistance. But I'm confused by the photo — is it on a little island of soil in a pool of water? Even though mints can do well in moist conditions, that looks excessive.

Thanks NMoasis.
It's definitely not in a pool of water Hilarious!
It's in a clear plastic seedling starter tray... I can see why you might mistake it for an island of soil in an ocean of water Smiling

Weird, the photo sure looks like water! In any event, the soil itself looks too wet. Let it drain and your seedlings should be fine...they look healthy. Thumbs up

ya, I took that pic almost immediately after watering it so that's why it looks so saturated.
The water has drained since then and is looking better.
Thanks again for your help!
