True Blue

Plumbago (Ceratostigma plumbaginoides) is a groundcover that produces pretty little blue flowers. Does well in dry shade.

This one added to my garden education. I've heard of plumbago, and I've probably even seen it, but never put the name and the flower together in my mind, so thanks for that. This one makes a lovely subject for a banner.

Beautiful banner!!

Educational for me as well. I did not realize Plumbago encompassed so many plants, and this explains the confusion I've seen in discussions about Plumbago before.

Plumbago search:
https://garden.org/plants/sear...
The pictured plant is a hardy ground cover:
Leadwort (Ceratostigma plumbaginoides)
The only Plumbago I knew until 5 mins ago was this not-as-hardy shrub:
Plumbago (Plumbago auriculata)

Thank you for all of your likes and comments, everyone. I grew this plant several years ago, although I currently do not have it. I am seeing it used more in landscapes now. I actually didn't know there were other plants with the common name "plumbago" until recently.
