Yes, they are trees after all so if you upgrade to bigger pot more chance for bloom. I give mine super bloom food. Each bloom you will get 3 to 5 tips/branches.

Hurray! Congratulations on your new babies, especially the new hybrid. Hope they multiply for you too.
More babies to grow, more fun! They look happy in their new home. I tip my hat to you. Hope the leaves will make new babies too.

I tried a cutting of a plumeria a few years ago.
Had it in well draining soil.
It started to grow and was pushing out some leaves.
Unfortunately I must have watered it too much and started to rot the roots it had formed.
I just started to grow cactus and succulents at the same time. I struggled with watering at first for these drier plants since I had been growing carnivorous plants for 25 years and you can pretty much not over water CP's.
Being very limited on space I have not tried another plumeria.

@GigiPlumeria - Beautiful flowers.

I have posted these pictures elsewhere on the forums, so sorry if you have to look at them again.
I find them them funny... at least now. Not so much when it actually occurred. LOL

Someone looks guilty...

The following picture shows how Buddy rearranged a few plants for me, because he "lost his mind" that a fly was in the house. I'm not sure if he tried jumping up on the small table with the plants. If he did he had a prickly situation since they are almost all cactus there.

You can see Ariel checking out the mess Buddy made.

I asked them to get me some paper towels to help clean up the mess. After 10 minutes I had to go see what was going on...

I would like to take a moment to celebrate the life and times of our dearly departed companion, who lived to a ripe old age of 16 or 17 and went to sleep yesterday. Shown here in her natural habitat. Lovey dubby

Gigi, here's my Plumeria. I'm wondering if that 3 gallon pot is big enough for another season or I should up it a size.

I tend to resist extra large pots because I have a bad back, but I guess I'll do what I have to do here.

Steve @elgecko it's the gravity's fault.

Yes, plumerias need bottom heat, to root. Cuttings need to be calloused anD planted in Moist not wet well draining media. Water once but don't water again until leaves are out or they will rot.

If you want to Try Again, the Dwarf Pink Singapore, or the Singapore White Are good to try. They are compact and can be grown In small pots (nursery or terra-cotta) on a south facing window/under grow lights. Grow them outside from spring (above 50's) to summertime or eve fall when temps are still above 50's. Then winter let it go dormant in the pot. (Meaning do not water at all.)

Steve, I hope they are/were the ones with a flat bottom. A previous resident of our current house must have had some kind of accident with those flat-bottom beads/marbles. I find them in the yard all the time.

If you've ever let just one of those moisture beads get away from you, then you know how far they can roll, and how hard it is to keep them from jumping back out of your hand if you find it.

The few plants I've put in those to take root did so well, especially succulent cuttings, but it is impossible to keep the beads clean, or clean them when they get dirty. They look so pretty for the first few weeks.

@Baja_Costero, I am so sorry for your loss. Sad

As for your plumeria, it looks really strong and healthy with buds ready to open soon. Lovey dubby When it comes to repotting, I normally repot when the roots are starting to show on the bottom holes of the pot or if it gets top heavy that the wind will start knocking it down (or I put the nursery pots inside a ceramic or terracotta pot as additional support).

You can probably keep this in a pot for this year and repot them to a bigger size next year. I try not to repot when it has buds (unless emergency such as pot clogged up) and not repot during rainy season.

If you like them short, in spring (when temps are above 50's) or early summer you can always trim (diagonal angle cut) and take a multi-tip cutting to be rooted separately. You can also change or amend the soil (trim roots) of the original one if you want to keep it in a small pot. Just make sure you give the cuttings and roots time to heal before watering to avoid root rot. (I just cut one rootbound Singapore White plumeria to just a foot tall from the root to try to grow it as bonsai.)

Can't wait to see the blooms of your plumeria! For every bloom there are new branches!

@purpleinopp

Some are round and some are the flat bottom.
The glass beads are just filler in wine and champagne glasses to keep my air plants elevated from the lip / or keeping the plant at a nice height in the glass.

The air plants are removed when I water them. So no water is ever on / accumulated on the glass beads / glass.
You do not want water on air plants for extended periods of time as the plants will rot.

Thanks.

I'll list the curly ones.
1st picture, the big plant on the left is 'Twisted Tim'.
The small plant to the right is 'Curly Slim'

The second picture, left is T. xerographica, middle I believe is 'Eric Knobloch', and the right is T. streptophylla
