April Showers

Late season snow (4/20/21) beginning to accumulate on a redbud tree in bloom.

Yes, the promise of Spring blossoms, while Winter continues to have a grip....a poetic banner. It's almost sad, and yet so artistic.

The snowfall depicted began 4/21 and ended overnight. We only got an accumulation of a scant inch, but it fell so gently that every branch and twig was coated. By the afternoon of 4/22, it had all melted away. The redbud tree pictured stands just off the back deck of my house, and receives the light of the rising sun. It made for a magical sight. Happily, all the plants seemed to survive the snow event unscathed.
