Oooo! neat banner, Baja! Is this plant soft to the touch, or prickly?

One of my favorites too, Baja. First time I saw one was in a Paris (France) urban garden store. I was smitten and just had to get home to CA and hunt for one to add to my succulent collection. For those in the know, I found a couple of them in Roseburg, Oregon a few years back.
