I love Alyssum and use it in my borders and planters every year, They form nice neat mounds just covered in blooms, bees love them and they have a great fragrance, perfumes the whole yard if you plant enough of them like I do.
The color changes as the blooms mature, they come in pink and lavender also but I find the fragrance isn't as strong as the white. I pair them with blue or purple upright Lobelia as a border around most of my flower beds.
