This is a specimen in the Harper Dwarf and Rare Conifer collection at Hidden Lake Gardens. It stands clear of other specimens, for now, which allows viewers to get an unobstructed view of its entire impressive length. It was planted in 1994, with its age at that time not specified on the plant tag. frankrichards16 posted a photo of this same tree taken in 2012. It was already pretty tall by then, but hadn't yet sent out the apron of lower limbs you can see in my 2019 shot of it. I think it's interesting to track the growth of unusual specimens like this. I wish I could have seen it shortly after it was planted.
