Thank you all for the kind words. I find this agave like a mandala from above, and can easily get lost in the lines. For the curious, this plant should be readily available, though specimens the size of the one in the picture would be $$$.
These are the three "royal" agaves (all of which at one point were called Queen Victoria agaves) in decreasing order of availability
Here is a compact version of the Queen Victoria agave, which reaches a fraction the size and offsets (the other version does not) and the regular seed-grown version about to bloom (after which it dies).
