03x is pretty, too!
So no chlorophyll in iris petals. Hmmm. I wonder if a good bright green color can be achieved with just the right blue/yellow mix?

17D-07e, kept it mostly because it's different. Not sure what to even call that color. Not sure what to do with it either. Made some crosses with it just to see what it might produce.

This one will require more time to evaluate than typical for SDBs. The pod parent was Standard Dwarf Bearded Iris (Iris 'Bazinga') . Bazinga is a great iris that I love to use in crosses because it produces such an interesting variety of seedlings. You never know what you're going to get from it.
It does have one flaw, at least in my garden, it tries to bloom out on a regular basis. I bought it in 2016, it bloomed spectacularly in 2017 but only had one fan left afterwards. Didn't bloom in 2018, but recovered nicely from its near death the year before. Bloomed spectacularly in 2019, but only had one fan left. Didn't bloom in 2020. Bloomed spectacularly in 2021, etc.
As mentioned, it's a neat parent. But, some of its seedlings seem to inherit this bloom out trait so I have to watch them for a few extra years and cull any that show it. Some even self cull. I really liked 19D-22c, a sibling to the green iris above. It had three fans last spring, all three produced bloom stalks, and that was that

Kent ~ I guess I am in the minority, but I favor this one. A nice pink with blue beards is always lovely.
Well, maybe the pink is not so clear, but still, I like it!
KentPfeiffer said:18D-06d. There are a lot of blue beared pink SDBs around at this point, but I like the depth of color and the ruffles of this seedling.
18D-10a.
18D-13a. Nice pink plicata
