Love the banner. What is the bird in your profile pic, @TBGDN? Beautiful, one I've never seen here.

Thanks @lovesblooms. That is an American Tree Sparrow a very small member of the sparrow family. They breed in the far north and are rarely seen south of northern Canada in summer. It seems they are very hardy since their summer habitat is into Canada & Alaska, I only see them here during the winter months where they love the feeders. So we give them lots of mixed seeds. Note the dark spot on its breast.

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments, thumbs and acorns. I realize we are several weeks away from spring, but there is still a longing for birds, butterflies and bees in the gardens. Hopefully February will be a mild-weather month bringing us nearer to spring! Meanwhile one final "baby" picture with Daddy robin sitting with Junior.

Leon,

Love your Avatar (has to be an American Tree Sparrow) and the ATS pic.

Love your pic of the daddy robin with the juvie robin.

So sweet.

We used to see the ATS here for a few winters, but that was years ago. We used to see the Fox Sparrow (once in awhile) here too in the winters, but not as much as the ATS. We've used to see the White-crowned Sparrow here (once in awhile) in the winters, but it's been years, since we've seen it. I miss seeing all them.
