This lovely blue gray agave (also pictured in closeup) looks like A. titanota or something similar, and not A. tequilana, which has longer, narrower leaves. The extra gnarly spines are the main giveaway to my eyes.

Take a look at some images and see if you agree...

I agree, unfortunately not even close. Could be titanota, but could also one of the naturally occurring hybrids...

Yeah I was confused about this one too, probably shouldn't over rely on a label. Could it be moved to the generic entry for agave please?
