I believe this baby was a Jungle Beauty x Lake's Swan Dance cross. It may have been from Val.
It is a nice shorter border type plant.

The first ever bloom appeared today, just in time to gift the plant to a lady who shares a birthday with me today.😊

That's so pretty, Diana,
but probably not from me, unless it was one I got in a trade and passed on in a swap (?) A friend of mine did pass on a few that she bought on the lily auction.

I hope everyone is doing well despite the circumstances these days.
I havent been on line that often, added a new veggie garden to my "repetoire" this year and might have bitten off a little more than I could chew with all my plans and tons of wsown seedlings.

Diana, if you're sure those were the parents, I can almost guarantee it was from me. I had both Jungle Beauty and Lake's Swan Dance in my garden and I have no doubt that I pollinated them together. And I also have no doubt it would have ended up in the seed swap seeds because I would have assumed that it would have produced more lavender- or pink-colored offspring and I'm not into pastels. Your little beauty defied my assumptions though -- what a nice color!

No clue which swap I got these in, and a little accident early on lost all my tags, but this is my first hubiscus bloom from this year's seedlings. I have about 6 still in pots, this was the only one that got planted in the ground.
