Wow, that was the roughest start we have had to a seed swap, it seems. It looks like Dave was already tagged on this, but I hope that it didn't impede your plans too much, everyone.

I didn't get an error message, but somehow it counted one of my bids as two (for the baby corn) and it didn't correctly tally up my tickets for the items that I sold. I sold 3 items, so I should have received 1.5 tickets, plus the 5 originally awarded. Instead, I have dibs on 5 items and it says I have 0 tickets. (I should be able to have dibs on 6 items with 0.5 ticket leftover.) Bummer.

Tomorrow will be better and if there's any seeds of mine other than the terrestrial bladderwort that someone wants with a burning passion but couldn't snag, I will go a-hunting in the stash. Don't want any sads on this, the first day of glorious trading!

The system stole half a ticket from me, too, for some reason BUT I got lots of great stuff. I missed some great stuff, too D'Oh! That's what happens when you '5 star' so many things!

I'll be adding seeds this weekend so if someone missed some seeds of mine let me know & I'll see what I can do.

Newbies, don't let tonight scare you. Usually it's smooth sailing & I expect it will be tomorrow night.

Hey Guys,
The Mini Belle Echinacea was a wanted item and due to the high jinx of the system I went ahead and ADDED 1 more packet for someone out there. 🤗

I got most of my top wishes. I think I started with 4 tickets, not 5 though. An uncharacteristically rocky start, the NFTSRSS had a first night glitch, too, although not the same kind.
@dave will likely straighten us out for tomorrow night.

@pinkiris are you pulling out of the swap? I hope everything is ok for you. You have quite a few seeds i was looking forward to getting.

@oakieheart & @wildflowers, if your top wishes were anything that I got, I'd be happy to split the packets with you after i get them. I wouldn't dream of asking the people I'm getting the seeds from to split them, but I'll gladly send you a portion after I receive them.

I didn't manage to get in many of my new commercial seeds. I apologize...

I did the not from the seed rack seed swap and it was supposed to be completed before this swap started. Unfortunately, I still am waiting on envelopes and trying to figure out where the flat rate bubble is I ordered our because they haven't arrived yet. I have to take care of that swap before I can continue adding seeds.. I'm sorry. I guess they'll be added in for next year

No worries Lisa, we're happy with any amount of participation you can do here after hosting your own fabulous swap. I was hoping the place I buy seeds from would have their new stuff ready by now, but seems they're having difficulty with the printing & shipping of the new envelopes so still waiting. Those will have to be for next year as well. Was really looking forward to offering baby pink popcorn along with my baby blue and a chocolate cherry sunflower along with some other neat rarities... oh well. something to look forward to next year!

No sweat, Lisa. I think there's plenty of seeds to go around. Green Grin!

I'm glad you mentioned the flat rate bubble envelopes! I still haven't ordered one to send in the seeds for Dnd's swap.

Now that the post offices aren't stocking them Grumbling , this is a good time to give everyone a heads up, especially Libby, that you will probably have to order your $8 flat rate priority mail envelopes from the US postal service in advance.

For both @dogsndaylilies and @ishareflowers, I'm completely fine with you re-using envelopes you received seeds in to send me back my seeds. No sense wasting perfectly good envelopes.

hey @gardenquilts, Did you have any takers on your airplants last night? I've been watching those and I had noticed that the qty was zero yesterday morning, I didn't get to check right before the swap to see if you had added any or not. Just curious if I missed them or if there wasn't a qty added by mistake.

Thanks for checking. LOVE airplants!

To get the $8 rate, you have to use the USPS flat rate envelope.

I had to pay over $11 to send in my seeds for the last swap, due to lack of time to get the right envelope and the weight of my seeds. I asked if I could go down the road to another PO to find the correct envelope. That's when my PO informed me that none of the PO's keep them on hand any more, and it would take "2 or 3" mailing days to get one. By Lisa's experience, that is overly optimistic.

If your seeds are very light, mailing in a recycled envelope can be cheaper than $8. I recommend you weigh your seeds and check the rates in advance if you are not sure.

I was wanting to get them too, put it looked like they were 0 quantity... unless there was more than one

I used the smallest Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box for the last swap. $7.50 and no chance of machine canceling damage Available at Post Office.
These are the size of a VHS tape

I just checked my Pineapple Tomatillo seeds and they are dry! Hurray! Not fermented but dried and ready to be packaged. I'm going to add a couple of packets for tonight if anyone is interested.

I'm having lunch, eating the last tomato from my garden for this year (a Brown's Yellow Giant that was ripening on the windowsill) and looking back over the offerings. I'm gettin' hungry for some 'maters! Thanks all, for offering so many great ones!
