Hi, new member, thanks for any info! When do the shield fronds develop? I've read that mounting them upside down will eventually cause them harm, but without basal fronds I don't know which side is up. The boards are about 5" square, mounted with fishing line wrapped around nails.

I'm hoping someone can help you out with your question. I bought a small one - 3" pot - a few months ago and would like to mount it, but am worried about doing so correctly.

She's put out new fronds regularly (basically has doubled in size) and is clearly happy where she's at, but I wonder if she wouldn't be happier mounted.
