@gngrbluiz
I plan to order the
'Chinese Shawo Fruit' Radish
from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. There will be enough for 5 + offers, so I doubt anyone else that wants them would need to buy seed.
The rest of the order will be:

'Purple Podded Pole' Bean
'Chinese Pink' Celery
'Uzbek Golden' Carrot
'Tresca' Strawberry
'Forellenschluss' Lettuce
'Queen of Malinalco' Tomatillo
'Art Combe's Ancient' Watermelon
'Dwarf' Moringa

That's only about a 3rd of what I would really like to order, so I'll put the ones I didn't order in the list of desired seeds.

I like baker creek catalog too, but it bothers me that they send out their catalog and create a bunch of hype and then they don't even have their website ready to go. They list all of their new upcoming seeds as out of stock instead of coming soon, or not yet available or whatever, so you can't even tell if you missed your chance to get them or if they just haven't even been released yet. This is the second year in a row I got excited for their catalog and then just ended up ordering elsewhere because its unorganized. I've been checking their site like 40 times a day for those grey poppies...did I miss them? Are they not released yet? No way to tell. Got them somewhere else, hope I get them in before the swap so I can offer some.

I'm prepping my orders for Morgan County Seeds, Baker Creek, and Seed Savers Exchange. Feel free to reference those for updating your want list in the next couple days. Might encourage me to buy something if I'm on the fence...

(DraDiana, you'll be smiling! Thanks for posting those wants. 😉)

VMA yup Smiling This is so much fun already. I would have missed the Terracotta tomato otherwise! I wasn't shopping for 'maters but I always want 'pottery' themed seeds. Phew!

Baker Creek is (edit: WAS) out of the Berlicum 2 Carrots... So I removed them from my list, ordered them from elsewhere, and Baker Creek now has them back in stock.

Soooo, I have reposted Berlicum 2 Carrot seeds from both Baker Creek and The Seeds Master (organic). At least it means I have more of those to share, lol. I'll be planting both types, for comparison's sake :P

I'm holding off my order at Morgan County Seeds for a couple days (they stock so much they don't run out of anything this early), and my "to order" list for Seed Savers is still so small that I'll hold off a bit longer on that one. Currently I'm thinking about getting these from Seed Savers:

Red Burgundy Okra
Stowell's Evergreen corn (I have older stock, larger trades; those might have lower germination rates... )
Golden Sweet Pea / Snow Pea (I have older stock...ditto... )
maybe Silver Queen Okra
maybe Tomato Black Krim
maybe Tomato Green Zebra

I noticed you mentioned wanting to order the ' tresca' strawberry from Baker creek. Wanted to let you know, I ordered them and they have a sticker saying "low germ 32% on 10/19". If you do order you may not have as many as you think for trades. However, they did include more seeds because of that. Maybe about 50 to the pack.

Olivia,
Thanks for the info. I may just try them for myself, if there's not enough to share at that low germination rate.

Welcome. Just wanted to give you a heads up so it's not a surprise if /when you order. They did n't say anything on the site about it being a low germ. Since they overpack it shouldn't be an issue getting a few good starts out of it.

Does anyone here grow salsify? Crossing Fingers! Does it grow the same as carrots? I'd like to give it a try.

I understand the root tastes a bit like oyster. Blinking Though I'm not a fan of oysters, it may be the texture of them, rather than the flavor, that I don't like. For health reasons, DH and I have moved to a vegan-on-the-way-to-whole-foods-plant-based diet, and I'm looking to try / re-try veggies with different taste profiles than I'm accustomed to. Salsify is on that list, but it isn't available at my local grocer and I don't want to buy a whole packet of seeds. I'll add it to my swap wish list, but wanted to mention it here, as well... I think I have some salsify somewhere, ill take a look! I wanted to grow it for the flowers too, and then I realized one of the weeds in my yard was a salsify! Lol. It was REALLY popular with the ants, it was really sticky. Cute flower like fancier dandelion and the big white puff afterwards was SO huge. Never tried to eat it though!! Ill take a look through my things tonight if I can... Smiling
