Caption: This specimen blooms about two weeks after the specimens of Red Charm in the same garden. I don't know if that is typical of the cultivar in general.

Caption: This bloom is not quite fully opened. It was opening near the beginning of the bloom period for its plant, in a year in which the weather during the peony season was very dry, and warmer than normal, if that concept even still applies.
