Caption: Obtained as a weed in a pot of Sarracenia minor purchased at an MACPS auction. Spreads easily. The seeds are explosively thrown out by the bursting seed pod when ripe. You have to bag the pollinated blooms to capture the seeds.

Caption: I bought these plants at Fish Town USA in Ramsey, NJ. They were grown emersed in jars with artificial light in the winter and diffused natural light in the other seasons. I do not have them anymore.

Caption: The cacti are just resuming growth after winter. They are growing on a full sun rock ledge facing south with 180 degrees of open space in front of them. Maximum sun and in shallow soil right at the edge of the outcrop.

Caption: I bought this cactus from Fred Katterman at a Conn Cactus and Succulent Society Spring Show in 2008. It has an atypical growth band right near the atypical offset. I attribute those defects to my lack of knowledge in proper care for this plant.
