[ Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Pagan Dance') | Posted on January 13, 2020 ]

Love this reblooming Iris! In my garden, it blooms twice. Large flowers with fragrance!

[ Glasswort (Salicornia europaea) | Posted on January 12, 2020 ]

Used to have this, easy to grow from cuttings. The natural group harvested were too salty to eat straight though.

[ Lemon Catnip (Nepeta cataria 'Citriodora') | Posted on January 8, 2020 ]

This plant has a strong lemon scent that both cats and humans enjoy. Cats eat the leaves, and the leaves can be steeped for tea as a human sleep aid.

[ Cup and Saucer Vine (Cobaea scandens) | Posted on January 4, 2020 ]

Fast growing flowering vine. Very interesting and showy flowers, the flower changing color from day 1 very pale to day 3 darker color. Easy to root from cuttings as well as easy to germinate from seeds. Very popular choice for high fence or arbour/pergola.

[ Common Pratia (Lobelia nummularia) | Posted on January 4, 2020 ]

This is a groundcover/perennial/medicinal herb with edible fruit. Its ripe purple fruit is very ornamental as well. Its creeping trailing habit makes it a good choice for hanging baskets or in planters.

[ Snowdrop Anemone (Anemone sylvestris 'Madonna') | Posted on January 3, 2020 ]

The tag said this variety has white flowers with a light fragrance and it may bloom twice a year, once in spring and again in fall.

[ Panda Face Ginger (Asarum maximum) | Posted on January 3, 2020 ]

This plant probably has the biggest showy flowers, although the odor of the flowers is not so great. People who do not have an excellent sense of smell probably would not notice, though.

It is easier to propagate by division than from seeds.

[ English Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Coconut Ice') | Posted on January 3, 2020 ]

This variety is white flowered. The hardy zone is barely 6a. I have seen it survive through our winter outdoors even though this has been sold as "perennial, treat as annual" in nurseries.

[ Firecracker Vine (Ipomoea lobata) | Posted on January 3, 2020 ]

Very easy to grow from seeds. Its multi-color flower heads are quite striking and unique. Attracts bees and butterflies. Annual.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Snow White') | Posted on January 3, 2020 ]

This variety is wonderful! Healthy and high yield. The fruit is pale yellow and tastes very nice I also have other varieties but this one is my favorite.

[ Clematis (Clematis akoensis) | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

This clematis is native only to southern Taiwan. Beautiful small flowers in large quantities. Flowers have baby-powderlike fragrance. Not cold hardy but easy to grow.

[ Clematis (Clematis tashiroi) | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

This clematis has small flowers in large quantity. Flower is rusty purplish-brown, looks like black flower from a distance. Some say its flowers have some kind of fragrance. Seeds easily. Medicinal.

[ Thornless Raspberry (Rubus idaeus BrazelBerries® Raspberry Shortcake™) | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

This variety is great, reblooming and keeps fruiting until frost. Thornless, short and compact, which is so friendly for young kids and pets.

[ Corkscrew Albuca (Albuca spiralis Frizzle Sizzle®) | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

Even though this plant is easy to grow, it takes a long time to grow big enough for offsets to form.

[ Cyclamen Leaved Violet (Viola 'Sylettas') | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

This plant is very easy to grow and self-seeds freely. It is super low height, prefers more light exposure.

[ Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Immortality') | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

Love this reblooming variety and its beautiful flowers and lovely fragrance. I have 2 other varieties of reblooming Irises and love this fragrance the most.

[ Guava (Psidium guajava) | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

Easy to grow from seeds. Clean, then cut the ripe fruit into small pieces, then put them in the blender with water and a small amount of sugar. Afterward, filter the seeds out and chill the drink in fridge. This lovely, refreshing drink is wonderful on hot summer days.

[ Yellow Corydalis (Pseudofumaria lutea) | Posted on January 2, 2020 ]

This cold hardy perennial is a very nice ground cover for shade because of its super long blooming time and dense habit, which blocks weeds under big trees.

[ Wood-Sorrel (Oxalis nidulans 'Pom-Pom') | Posted on January 1, 2020 ]

This variety is the double-flowered form. Its pink flowers are so pretty and cute. Not sure mine is still alive.

[ Echinops | Posted on January 1, 2020 ]

This cold hardy perennial is a magnet for bees and butterflies. Good for cut flower use as well. Easy to grow from seeds. Some say the fleshy roots are good for medicinal use.
