[ Lily (Lilium candidum) | Posted on October 6, 2011 ]

I have had no luck with this Lily, no matter how much I like it, the leaves emerge healthy and vigorous in late summer - autumn, they stay nice all winter long until the warmer weather in spring sets in, then the leaves slowly start to looks diseased, maybe a virus I don't know, I never had a bloom on mine..:( I have also tried it in more shady locations but to no avail..

[ Aster (Aster x frikartii 'Monch') | Posted on October 6, 2011 ]

Gorgeous Aster! I was really impressed when I saw it in my brother's garden!
Healthy plant too, resistant to mildew, can stand drought.
Parents are the Italian Aster amellus and a Himalayan species Aster thomsonii.

[ Dusky Cranesbill (Geranium phaeum 'Margaret Wilson') | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

I have had no luck with this Geranium! I bought it as a very young plant quite expensive in a plant fair, I pampered it, giving it the best soil and ideal light conditions. Despite that it grew very slowly the first year, hardly any new leaves were made, it gave about 3 flowers... This year it didn't return! :(

Very reliable plant that returns every year loyally, spreads nicely too without becoming invasive. beautiful lace like foliage and delicate flowers, blooms for a very long time, I love this plant!
