[ Sunset Dewfig (Drosanthemum bicolor) | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

Easy to grow, heat & drought tolerant requiring no summer water once established. It will do well in hot, dry areas as well as in mixed borders & containers. If it gets woody over time, it is easy to root by stem cuttings.

[ Floribunda Rose (Rosa 'Julia Child') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

An all around excellent rose! Lots of blooms, great looking foliage, and a sweet wonderful fragrance make this rose worth growing.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Julie Link') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

So far, this rose has gotten rust pretty bad 3 X this year, I have stripped the leaves each time. It is still in a pot so it may be better once it's in the ground and not under such stress. It's such a pretty thing though, I hate to have to make a decision to shovel prune it if the problem continues.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Planet Max') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

This plant is a great bloom machine in my garden and one of my favorites! It makes a quick clump and looks fantastic when there are multiple blooms open at once.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Eureka') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

I love the touches of apricot that complement the yellow blooms and the large bouquet-type clusters that can almost cover the entire plant at peak bloom time. The entire plant in general is very healthy looking as well.

[ Atlantic Poppy (Papaver atlanticum 'Flore Pleno') | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

Great plant that grows anywhere, as long as it has a minimum of 4 hours of sun! It self seeds readily so you can gift it to any of your friends with 'black thumbs' and make them feel they too are successful gardeners!

[ Shiny Angelica (Angelica pachycarpa) | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

This plant self seeds quite freely! I was pulling tiny seedlings out of my gravel paths for weeks. Potted a few up, they are real tough plants, can take some drought conditions despite their lush green looks and it's attractive, glossy foliage.

[ Bur Marigold (Bidens aurea SolaireĀ® Yellow) | Posted on September 29, 2011 ]

I found this wonderful plant to bloom almost non-stop in my zone, making it a cheerful addition to the edge of a flower bed! I just pinch or cut back the spent blooms once in a while and it quickly sends out new flowers.

[ Tufted Honey Flower (Melianthus comosus) | Posted on September 28, 2011 ]

A smaller version of Melianthus major, if you can call 6-7 ft. small! The leaves, which smell like peanut butter, are also greener than Melianthus major

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Samurai Sword') | Posted on September 27, 2011 ]

Strangely, this is registered as tangerine coral bitone above green yellow throat. None of the images I have seen show any tangerine or coral.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Incendiary') | Posted on September 27, 2011 ]

According to the hybridizer, Bill Maryott, he says that the "flower can vary significantly from day to day." His website shows 3 very different images and the images here can attest to that uniqueness as well.

[ Scarlet Hedge Nettle (Stachys coccinea 'Pow Wow') | Posted on September 23, 2011 ]

I always have visitors rub the fuzzy leaves and tell me what it smells like, most never guess it. Kids love the '7-Up' plant and I make sure to have plenty of 'petable' plants that they can enjoy, this being a favorite.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Buddy's Blondy') | Posted on September 21, 2011 ]

This is a hard dormant that does well in the south

[ Tea Rose (Rosa 'Lady Hillingdon') | Posted on April 14, 2010 ]

I just looked this rose up in my reference books, Botanica's Roses & ARS Encyclopedia of Roses.
The plant grows slowly, with a thin twiggy structure, somewhat ungainly, but it is very floriferous, especially if lightly pruned. It also says it's one of the healthiest roses and is a lovely cut flower.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Europeana') | Posted on April 12, 2010 ]

Susceptible to Mildew.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Cherry Parfait') | Posted on April 12, 2010 ]

Many glowing reports from around the country that this rose is extremely hardy and disease resistant.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis '120th Anniversary') | Posted on September 15, 2011 ]

Unable to find registration with the AHS, hybridizer: Wild, 2004?
