This early maturing plant produces good yields of 6 to 8 oz bright red tomatoes. They are very sweet, meaty, juicy, and flavorful. Perfect for salads, slicing, sandwiches, and making tomato juice. Anne 2024 - 2023 seed Monster-sized (most in the 1.5 lb. range), clear-skinned, slightly ribbed tomatoes with excellent flavor and very positive reviews. Large (to 17+ feet tall), healthy, very productive, regular leaf vines produce well from 90+ days. All sources trace to a 4.5 lb. fruit purchased from a market in Portugal in 2006 by Michael Johnson from the United Kingdom, so this is likely a case of an already-named variety getting a second name. Anne 2024 - 2017 seed ~Very Large Pink Beefsteak. I have seen these tomatoes grow over 3 pounds. I honestly think they have the potential to grow much larger. For some reason they ended up in a tough growing area in my garden for several years in a row and still pumped out 1-3 pound tomatoes. Great flavor with meaty flesh. The original selection came from one plant in a row of mortgage lifters that I grew in 2009.On this particular plant all the tomatoes were almost twice the average size. Beautiful oval-shaped, red elongated cherries with a pointed tip, grow to an average length of 2.5 to 3 inches. As the fruits ripen, they transition from an orangey tomato with green and gold striations to a deep red color with gold striations, at full ripeness. Insanely sweet fruit with a brix reading of 10.0. Extremely kid friendly, this may be the sweetest tomato we have ever tried! Compact vines produce fruit that are 1 inch across and 3 inches long. One of Dave's favorite dwarf varieties.
