antsinmypants's Plant List: Medicinal

A note from antsinmypants
Feel free to ask about anything in my list you may be interested in. I'm always looking to trade. Just because something isn't in my want list doesn't necessarily mean I don't want it & just because something I have isn't marked for trade doesn't mean it isn't available for trade. I stay busy so don't always get around to updating.

DND's All Seeds Swap #9 (2022) - Phytocraft - 2021

also known as Shan Yao, one of the true Yams and it is very good food.
I would grow it, it also is a medicinal and the flavor is very nice.

I first found out about this yam from a Japanese family that lived across the street from me in California.
He and I exchanged a lot of methods and techniques over a 4 year period (I even worked at his nursery for a year).

Remember the leaves oppose directly across from each other on the edible species of true yams.

Edible species of Dioscorea have opposite leaves whilst poisonous species have alternate leaves.

Can take 3 to 5 years from seed to harvest.

Zones 5 -12.

EARLY SPRING SEED EXTRAVAGANZA #1 - 2024 - StitchWitch - H 2022 Organic Medicinal

A very aromatic, beautiful annual medicinal and spice plant with a wonderful citrus aroma. The flowers and leaves, fresh and dried, are very suitable for preparing a fresh herbal tea, lemonade or iced tea. This plant can also be used as a spice for desserts, salads and fish dishes. As it is said to have digestive and liver stimulating properties, it is also suitable for the preparation of herbal liqueurs.
In addition, the Moldavian dragonhead is a beautiful, very nectar-rich flowering plant that enriches every flower bed. The blue-violet and sometimes white blossoms look like a dragon's mouth about to spit fire immediately. They are constantly visited by bees and other insects, which is why dracocephalum is said to be an even better and more productive melliferou plant than phacelia.

80-110 days.
