J.P. Granite City IL - 12/27/2022 Originates from Russia. These plants can get to 8 inches tall but most often they will flower at about 4 to 5 inches tall. The fruits are juicy and mildly sweet with a well-balanced flavor. The tomatoes are bright orange even when fully ripe. These cherry-type fruits only get to around 3/4 inch round. If planted in small pots they can stay relatively small at maybe 4 to 6 inches tall! This variety is known for being an earlier type than others. Micro Dwarf, Determinate Regular leaf Early season Orange, round, cherry. 45-83+ days. |

Grew 2020. Very prolific. Great flavor. 'Ananas' (Pineapple) tomato is a big, leafy plant that yields huge, 1-2 lb. (3 to 4-inch) beautiful, pale-yellow beefsteaks with mild red striping and a red blush on the blossom end, very mild acidity. An exceptional, sweet-tasting tomato! Originated from the state of Kentucky. It got its name because when it is cut in half it looks like the inside of a pineapple! These tomatoes can get to 2+ Lbs easily! Beautiful oval-shaped, red elongated cherries with a pointed tip, grow to an average length of 2.5 to 3 inches. As the fruits ripen, they transition from an orangey tomato with green and gold striations to a deep red color with gold striations, at full ripeness. Insanely sweet fruit with a brix reading of 10.0. Extremely kid friendly, this may be the sweetest tomato we have ever tried! Compact vines produce fruit that are 1 inch across and 3 inches long. The scarlet, elongated fruit shimmers on the vine with its gold-flecked skin. Red with Gold Semi-determinate 75 days. |

2021 Chicagoland Annual Plant Swap - Pepperlove A family heirloom of Tom Gallucci of Connecticut. The seeds came from Tom's ex-wife's grandfather, Mr. Prue who was from Massachusetts. Mr. Prue was known to have grown these wonderful tomatoes in the 1930s and 40s. Prue is one of my favorites for taste! The wispy vines with sparse foliage have a droopy appearance but the red elongated heart-shaped 8-16 oz fruit are delicious. They are great for slicing or canning.
