antsinmypants's Plant List: Peppers

A note from antsinmypants
Feel free to ask about anything in my list you may be interested in. I'm always looking to trade. Just because something isn't in my want list doesn't necessarily mean I don't want it & just because something I have isn't marked for trade doesn't mean it isn't available for trade. I stay busy so don't always get around to updating.

EARLY SPRING SEED EXTRAVAGANZA #1 - 2024 - StitchWitch - H 2022 Organic

Heralding from Peru, this completely purple plant yields dark purple to almost black peppers. The up-pointed fruits are mildly hot, meaning you can actually put one or two in a salsa and not get blown out of the kitchen! It really is quite a striking plant whose compact nature lends it to patio gardens.

85-95 days after transplanting.

DND's All Seeds Swap #9 (2022) - Hammerojustice - 2022; open pollinated; insanely and painfully hot (tastes hotter than the reaper)

The Chocolate Bhutlah is considered to be one of the hottest peppers in the world, with some claiming it feels even hotter than the famed Carolina Reaper. It is said to top out at 2,000,000 Scoville Heat Units on the official Scoville scale. When it comes to hot peppers, this pepper delivers incendiary heat.

Bhutlah is a unique cross between a Bhut Jolokia and a Chocolate Douglah hence the clever name mashup of bhut-lah.

DND's All Seeds Swap #9 (2022) - wildflowers - From my 2021 garden. Very mild heat.

A chinense from Brazil. Ripens to red. From the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. With the Little-Beak pepper (pimenta biquinho in Portuguese) you can still get the flavor your want - it's just the spiciness that will be missing from whatever you're preparing. Biquinho peppers are small, round and have a small beak-shaped protuberance hanging from the end. The plant makes a beautiful ornamental plant.

100-2500 SHU
Days to First Harvest and Maturity: 55 lime green, 75 red ripe.

February 27, 2023: Plant emerged (2 seedlings have emerged.)
