What little I had sown, (on "two occasions,") with any germination at all, had already subsequently, rather rapidly, & quickly "croaked" ! | June 17, 2019: Seeds sown (From Loretta ex; Select Seeds, sown where Pansy were planted. Extra seeds from Summerhill. ) June 19, 2019: Seeds germinated March 18, 2020: Seeds sown December 6, 2020: Miscellaneous Event (Seeds arrived, several weeks later. Packet. of 30 seeds, 'Cupcakes', (white.) ) July 5, 2021: Seeds sown (Trying again, as appears only as though 'Lemonade', from Burpee pkt. have flowered so far, in a pink shade at that.) May 20, 2022: Seeds sown May 23, 2022: Seeds sown (Ex. Johnny's Selected Seeds.) June 4, 2022: Miscellaneous Event (Snails, or small slug had eaten nearly most, of what I'd sown. Out of six seeds, only three are growing well. The fourth one,is barely surviving. Two others, out of the six seeds, sprouted, although fairly quickly, had outright died, being quite "pale", in color to begin with. | June 26, 2021: Seeds sown (Seed variety, of 'Black Magic'. While it is summer, I'm not waiting for cooler weather, to start these seeds.) July 3, 2021: Seeds germinated (That was rather quick ! (I was concerned, a couple may have rotted, during time spent indoors with cold A.C.) while germinating, during heavy downpours As I'd brought them indoors, to avoid being hit by "Flash Flood", & possibilty having been completely washed away.) July 5, 2021: Miscellaneous Event (Not certain about differences in color of the cotyledons with these seedlings If are any indication of ones that are weaker, due to being more closely like, that of true to species. Or if because of tending to be more like those with more of mixed ancestry. While three are much darker green in color, & growing quite strongly, & more normally than those three, which are obviously much weaker, having the pale cotyledons. I should think the more normally appearing, & better growing ones, should grow more quickly, & flower sooner. Hopefully, some will produce tubers, prior to entering into dormancy. In any case, should like to get ahold of the older version, of atrosanguineus, next year. For possible future cross pollination attempts.) August 27, 2021: Seeds germinated (Sourced from Chocolate Flower Farm. Seed cv. 'CFF Chocolat', in special production, by Marie. U.S. supplier of not only seeds, yet tubers & plants too, of fertile varieties. (When "in stock".)) December 30, 2021: Miscellaneous Event (Pre-odered tuber, for Spring delivery of seed producing cultivar.) April 5, 2022: Plant emerged (Cv. 'C.F.F. Chocolat' already starting to grow, from (self fertile,) tuber, recently received from Chocolate Flower Farm.) April 5, 2022: Seeds germinated (From Uprising Seeds packet. About completed with germination, of around a dozen seedlings. (Ex. C.F. Farm.) Sent as a gift from Loretta, earlier on, during late Winter.) June 4, 2022: Plant Ended (Removed, Died, Discarded, etc) (Tubers had arrived so very late, I think they'd already rotted. AKA, "D.O.A." Rather unfortunately.) |
