Yesterday I got out and watered everything because it didn't look like much of a chance of rain and everything was a little dry. I watered all the roses, weeded as I went and pulled all the black spot leaves off, doing all three things at once made the watering go by much faster it seemed, wasn't so boring. I would weed around a rose, lay the shower head hose at the base of the plant, dead head the blooms, then remove all the yellowing black spot leaves.
I discovered Crazy Ants in the yard for the first time, guess the invasion has started!. Now I need to find out what to do about them , if anything.
The armadillo is still digging everywhere only a few Asiatic Lilies dug up this morning, I just stuck them back in the dirt and hope the come back next year. New blooms on some of the Asiatics in the shade bed, but forgot to take pictures, I'll get them later.
Pics of just a few of the things blooming this morning.

The temp is again up in the 90's today, thankfully right now the humidity is below 50 percent. I just don't seem to have acclimated to the summer heat yet, maybe after a couple of more weeks it won't seem so much like an inferno when I am out there raking and digging. No rain now for a several days so after being so wet and rainy for so long now I would love to have a good little thunderstorm drop about an inch of rain.
Blooming today in the garden"
I had a lot of chores to take care of today, so I was not able to get out into the garden till around three thirty, by then things don't look as fresh as early in the morning, still I was pleased with a few of the blooms and some of the shots I got.
The garden is finally coming alive with daylily blooms, plus tons of other stuff. I had the FFO on a Daylily today, I can find no tag, it matches none of the pictures I have of the named ones I bought last year, so for now it remains a NOID.
Also had a couple of other NOID daylilies bloom today, they are very pretty and good sized blooms I'd guess 5 to 6 inches.
Fulva: Lots of these scattered about
I had to move one of my Shasta Daisy plants 'Silver Princess' because the Mexican Sunflower was getting so large, not it has grown even more and it looks like I should have moved a few more plants. It seems to be forming a bloom at the top.
My Fascinated daylily had five blooms on it today and many more buds left to open.
Almost forgot I had the first bloom on my 'Happy Returns' daylily also today.
It was raining on and off, little short thunderstorm showers, so I thought it would be a good day to transplant a few of my Zinnia seedlings. I got four little seed cell packs planted, they should look great tomorrow.
I sprayed the roses early this morning after I picked off all the yellow, black spot infected leaves, hope the spray was able to stay on long enough to do some good before the rains came. I'll check on them again in a couple of days, they are doing fantastic so far, should have taken tons of pics of them by now but I keep getting distracted pulling weeds and such.
Also I have started mixing up a 1 to 10 mixture of Ammonia and water to spray for slugs. I put it in a spray bottom and squirt them like using a water gun. I only get a few each time I check in the mornings, but so far I also have very little slug damage showing on the Hostas. It takes 1 qt. of mixture to spray all the Hostas. The Sum and Substance has now four pips showing on it. The hosta 'Winter Snow' has absolutely the largest leaves of any of my hostas now.
