Grew up in New York State. Married a Canadian I met in grad school at the University of Illinois. Have lived in Ottawa since 1970 and raised two daughters. Now have 4 grandchildren - boy-girl twins born in 2002, and two more girls born in 2008 and 2011. I ran a local food bank for quite awhile and then volunteered there after I retired until 2020.
