@tantefrancine, I searched 'Pink Cloud' and couldn't discover what type of plant it is. What is it, other than beautiful?

Karen, I think it is an Azalea that is not in the NGA database.

It is a picture of my Azalea, but I do not what kind, they are very old, they got dumped by lots of snow by the snowclearing crew when we had lots of snow one year. I pruned all the damaged branches, and it survived. I do not have a sidewalk in front of my house, so they dumped the snow into my front yard right on top of my Azalea bush. Lots of blossoms every year! I should find out its name, I think I planted it in 1985 or 1986. Thank you for picking my photo, and the acorn. My first banner!

@tantefrancine Love the banner. It looks similar to Pink Ruffles, which we purchased in 1995. Do you have any closeups? Congratulations on your first banner. It's a beauty.

@tantefrancine,

Especially like how you captured the blooms in back that are shaded, as well as those in front.

An old plant that was dumped on by snow plows, and blooms like there's no tomorrow.

And your first banner.

I thought its name was Pink Cloud. Rolling on the floor laughing I found a registered Azalea with that name and added it to the database for you.

Azaleas are one of my favorite plants, and I had several at my previous home 15 years ago,
but neglected to plant them at our current home.

They seemed to do best in shallow, wide, terra cotta pots, letting their roots penetrate the sub-soil
(which wasn't very good soil).

Your banner reminded me of how pretty they are. I'll have to add a few this fall, especially the
pink cloud. Thumbs up

Zuzu: it may be "Pink Cloud" I looked it up. I did not check whether there was an Azalea called Pink Cloud. I just thought, it looked like a slice of pink cloud! Every year I admire them, I never water them, I never feed them, and they bloom every year. I have to find out whether they are fragrant--and I have to also find out the details of the flowers, so maybe I can identify it. But it is Rolling on the floor laughing !
