@krobra, @vic, @lovemyhouse, @plantmanager Wow, that was a surprise. I checked in to see whose banner was posted and it was mine! Magnolias are one of my favorites and their fragrance in the evening is something to behold. Thanks to each of you for the thumbs.

@plantmanager That was something I missed the 30 years we were in Illinois. Have our own trees in FL. Had one in AR but it hasn't done too well, probably because it has to compete with all the trees in our yard and it isn't an understory tree.

I love magnolias. But I especially love the way your picture was framed in the banner.

Think I may have picked my last 2 magnolias today. My tree covers my whole front yard and this year seems like I've had a bumper crop of blooms.
