Just a way to start the April thread. This area is my current project to actually become home ground for Bromeliads.

Cool broms Sherri, are those two in shady spots?

Anybody else curious about how Tropiflora's online festival will work tomorrow? Hope their system can handle all the activity I expect they might have. People are bored and this sounds interesting to me.

I have made my want list from Tropiflora. I am ready to place my order but will wait for the details of the online festival.
Noticed today that my Neoregelia 'Treasure Chest' is in flower and is pushing it's first pup.

Nice color combo there. I'll have to get a photo of the Vulcan x I received a while ago. It was a muddy brown color when it came but it is now pushing the orange I was looking for.

Oh, man I hate being away from home right now!

Tropiflora's online festival would be great fun and good to support a local business, too but I can't expect my (non gardening ) husband to plant a bunch of new stuff, even broms. Crying Crying Sighing!

Sighing! I can't wait to see how they are going to do this but I really should not be buying any plants until this crud Phil and I have is over and besides, I am completely out of potting mix. I may have to order some from Amazon!

Alice both of those are in filtered sun all year. The Vriesea is planted in the ground, the guz is in a pot.

Alice two of our local plant nurseries are taking curbside orders, you might check where you normally buy your soil.

It's a few days late. Posting tricks I found April Fool's, 1 naughty, 1 nice
Oops! Sorry I got holidays confused
Since this isn't Brom for Holidays thread, hope it's ok!

Naughty! Bill Windii had 2 blooms.
Moved plant outside window. Blooms didn't grow or last long.
I clipped them and added to compost when I saw what looks like seed pods that didn't seem to bloom
Maybe it's been too dry!

Now, Nice!

When taking April Fool's photo,
noticed pups. This is Brom I think was too dry. You encouraged me to take plant outside which I did. It seems happy. I repotted it and will
try to give it more TLC! and water!
